Parents-to-be Chrissy Teigen and John Legend celebrated the impending birth of these first child on Sunday.
The supermodel and All of Me singer are preparing to welcome just a little girl, along with their friends and family feted the bride and groom with a party fit for just a little princess.
All your guests at the New York City luncheon donned paper crowns, with all the pregnant Chrissy wearing a bedazzled tiara with "Baby Mama" within the front, while John wore a corresponding one with "Baby Daddy" emblazoned onto it.
Chrissy loved Instagram.com to talk about snaps on the bash, including a photo of the plate of customised cookies in the shape of white and pink onesies, baby bottles, prams, and pink crowns. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit beauty recently sparked controversy after revealing they made a decision to have a daughter after they were offered the opportunity to pick the sex of these first child throughout their in vitro fertilisation process.
Chrissy initially said she desired to give her husband just a little girl as they "deserves" the close bond daughters typically offer their dads, but later admitted she didn't expect this sort of backlash when talking in regards to the gender decision publicly.
"I think I didn't realise that is so probably not talked about," she recently told U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America. "In my world it's, because everyone I know will go through this (IVF), so I stated it so casually that I didn't anticipate each of the people whod never heard this type of thing before."
The 30-year-old doesn't have any regrets about her comments and insists she's thrilled to have inspired more open discussion about such scientific advances.
"It's interesting to spark conversation, get people speaking about it," Chrissy said. "We're very pleased with our decision and we're satisfied with it. We're glad that any of us're moving into a time that people can do this type of thing, but yeah, it's weird, we definitely didn't anticipate just about any backlash from using it."
