Blake Shelton is not willing to "get worked up" over critics.
The 39-year-old country music star can be quite active on Twitter, in the past he think it is necessary to defend himself around the micro-blogging platform against rumours as well as other forms of negativity.
However, going about the defense will no longer interests him, because he is more dedicated to keeping his Twitter page filled up with positivity.
"The last number of years, year as well as a half, I kinda was required to dial it back slightly," he explained while laughing during an interview on Sirius XM radio show Music Row Happy Hour. "At first it absolutely was fun to get on there – I don't know that anybody has as much haters on the market as I do, at the least in the country music world – I think it is precisely what was fun about Twitter for me personally, to acquire down there and also be like 'oh, really,' and fire back at 'em.
"Next thing I know, that became a popular thing for those to look at on my small Twitter page, just me firing back for the booger-eaters available. After a while … I just decided, man, I can't get worked up over these products anymore."
Came Here To Forget hitmaker might be more focused around the good things in your everyday living right now, especially since becoming romantically engaged with pop star Gwen Stefani.
The Voice U.S. co-stars announced these were dating in November and recent surveys suggest they're completely enamoured collectively.
"For now, they seem very happy with their relationship, but Blake is old-fashioned as well as a future engagement seems very possible," a pal of the blonde beauty recently told People magazine. "Gwen thinks about Blake since the biggest blessing."
